Indigo Resist printing

Beginners and those with prior experience

Working with an organic indigo vat, we will explore different resist paste recipes that can be used in conjunction with hand-painting, stencilling, stamping and screenprinting techniques to resist the indigo dyeing process.


By combining resist printing together with shibori techniques, many complex and beautiful blue and white fabrics of all shades an be produced.


What You Will Learn

Explore different resist paste recipes for use with the organic indigo vats.

Learn how to design complex cloths through repeated resist/indigo applications

  1.    Learn how to cut stencils, stamps and use silkscreen techniques to produce unique designs

Classes limited to 10, minimum 6 people required
